Kathy Kampa – early childhood music
Kathleen Kampa has recently moved back to St. Cloud from Tokyo, Japan, where she taught music, dance, and English to Montessori early childhood/kindergarten students as well as elementary students at Seisen International School. Several years ago, Kathy taught early childhood music and dance classes at the Wirth Center for Performing Arts in St. Cloud. Kathy combines her knowledge of Orff-Schulwerk, Kodály, folk dance, and brain-compatible creative movement to create lively lessons for her students. She is currently teaching early childhood lessons in a satellite program for Children’s Day Montessori School.
In addition to her work in music and dance, Kathy has expertise in English language teaching. She has created numerous educational materials for Oxford University Press and Japanese publishers. She conducts teacher training sessions around the world. Kathy composes music for children that builds language skills as well as nurturing their creativity.
