Aksel Krafnick – guitar, bass, ukulele

Aksel Krafnick got his early musical training from The St. John’s Boys Choir. As a member from 1993-1999, he got to travel the U.S. and perform in many beautiful churches and music venues. The Boys Choir taught him how to work hard, be respectful, and share his talents with the world.

Aksel Krafnick graduated high school from St. John’s Prep School in 2004. During his time at Prep, he focused on music, drama, and language courses. He gravitated towards the guitar and spent lots of time practicing with stringed instruments. While making friends with students from all over the world, he understood at a young age that culture, acceptance, and diversity help the world turn round.

Aksel Krafnick started joining bands and playing shows around St. Cloud shortly after finishing high school. Over the last 12+ years, he has played in many bars and taprooms, local school district functions, fundraisers for non-profits, and multiple weddings and family functions too. Being creative is also one of his passions. He released his first original album “SELF” in 2016, with the help from local musicians and ‘So It Goes’ Studios in St. Joseph, MN.

Aksel Krafnick has been teaching publicly and privately for 5+ years in the St. Cloud area. He is passionate about music and he loves to make it fun for young learners. Aksel plays guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele!

Aksel Krafnick received his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from SCTCC in 2018. He plans to attend SCSU and finish up his teaching and education degree soon. Someday, Aksel would love to be a Special Education teacher in central Minnesota.

Recently, Aksel Krafnick took 2nd place in The Central Minnesota Idol Competition 2021. Alongside local musicians Jeff Engholm, Justin Ploof, and Jennifer Lamb-Randolph, we helped raise money for important non-profit programs and organizations in our area. He was able to help raise over $2000 that was split between Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota and Anna Marie’s Alliance of St. Cloud.

Aksel Krafnick is very excited to join the Wirth Center team!
