Community Art Center Fundraiser

Help Us Build a Community Arts Center in Downtown St. Cloud!

We’re thrilled that you’re interested in being part of something truly transformative for our local arts scene. The Wirth Center is launching a bold new initiative: a Community Arts Center right in the heart of downtown St. Cloud!

We’re in the early stages of an accelerated capital campaign to raise $2 million over the next year. Why the rush? A generous $500,000 grant from the Minnesota Department of Education is within reach—but we need matching funds to make it happen.

That’s where you come in.

Donate Now

We’ve set up a Givebutter fundraising page to make it easy for supporters like you to contribute, whether it’s a one-time donation, a monthly commitment, or an in-kind service. Due to processing fees, we recommend larger donations be made by check direct to the Wirth Center. Every dollar brings us one step closer to opening a space where creativity, connection, and collaboration thrive.

What Will the Community Arts Center Offer?

We’re designing this space to be a multi-use creative hub—an inclusive and welcoming home for local artists, performers, educators, and arts-loving community members of all ages. Here’s what we’re planning:

Wirth Center for the Performing Arts

Music Lessons

Private and group lessons in piano, voice, strings, guitar, percussion, and more—taught by experienced instructors in a supportive environment for all ages and skill levels.

Dance, Yoga, and Fitness Classes

Movement classes for kids, teens, and adults, promoting creativity, health, and self-expression through dance, yoga, and fitness programming.

Early Childhood Classes

Specialized programs that introduce children to music and movement in a joyful, family-friendly setting.

Music Practice Rooms

Affordable practice spaces available to individuals and ensembles—ideal for students, community musicians, and instructors.

Project 37

Music Venue

A safe, all-ages concert venue focused on local talent and sober events—supporting emerging musicians, fostering community, and providing real-world stage experience.

Recording Studio & Classes

A professional-grade recording space with educational programming in music production, audio engineering, and digital creativity—hands-on learning meets real-world tools.

Music Therapy

Therapeutic music sessions led by certified professionals, supporting emotional health, development, and wellness for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities.

Art Galleries & a Maker Space

Space Dedicated to Minnesota Art & Artists

A living tribute to Minnesota’s creative community, featuring local visual artists, musicians, and creators in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Permanent and Rotating Exhibits

Showcasing both long-standing collections and regularly changing exhibits to keep the space vibrant, relevant, and representative of diverse voices and styles.

Classrooms and Studio Space for Rent

Spaces designed for teaching, creating, and collaborating—available to artists, educators, and community members looking to host workshops or work independently.

Art & Music Supply Library

A maker’s space with supplies and equipment for public use, and a lending library of instruments, art supplies, sheet music, and more—removing financial barriers and empowering students and creators with the tools they need. Imagine a space with 3D printers, laser engravers, a long arm quilting machine, bead and jewelry tools, painting supplies and easels, and a whole array of crafting and art supplies! We’re considering all ideas and would love your input!
