“Working in music and movement education is truly a privilege.  As teachers we witness the transformative process that our students undertake when they learn to express and channel their unique emotional world.  Some students enter our studios barely able to sit still, and throughout the course of months and years develop excitement and passion leading to focus and expression.  The range of skills “accidentally” practiced in the midst of this are such things as fine motor coordination and body awareness, mental acuity and full brain stimulation, listening skills and emotional growth, and a discovery of the best process for that student’s learning.  We often have the chance to work with our students one-on-one, and we both grow through that unique relationship which is so helpful especially for children’s development and learning confidence. Our school has become a safe space to grow into our authentic selves.”
